DANIEL MAMAH, MD is a physician and Professor of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He graduated from Federal Government College in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and Semmelweis Medical School in Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Mamah was the founding president of the Missouri Psychiatric Association and served on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – Fifth Edition (DSM-5) Task Force. A leading researcher on psychosis in the United States and Africa, he has published multiple articles and book chapters. He has lived in Hungary, England, and Nigeria, and now resides in the United States with his wife, Thelma, and two daughters, Caroline and Sophia.
